Marcus Lane began performing in 2006 due to the encouragement of a couple college professors and the Manager of the Jewelry store he worked at. Once he took the stage he was instantly hooked. He can create humor out of any situation or topic and his need for self expression takes audiences on a roller coaster ride from beginning to end. He animates the comical story of his life and his twisted observations that will leave his audiences either in hysterics or total shock. He uses several accents, impersonations, and an arsenal of characters to paint the picture that is his comedy.
In April of 2010 he was runner-up in the Big Laughs for a Cause comedy competition at John Q. Hammons Center. Also in 2010, he started the stand-up comedy group The Expendables of Comedy which was a spoof look of the Expendables movie and ran the show with success until June 2012. In 2011, he was a Finalist in the LMBO Comedy Competition in Tulsa, OK and Semi-Finalist in the Arkansas Funniest person contest. He participated in the World Series of Comedy in 2011. He has also been in 2 short films, both have been featured in numerous film festivals and one of which has been featured on Sky Television in the U.K.
Most recently, he was selected as one of the top 40 comedians to compete in the 2015 World Series of Comedy Satellite in Tulsa, OK.
